Renaissance Pony

Circa 1993:- The Newfoundland Pony was about to become extinct when a handful of local Newfoundlanders stepped into the breach and formed the Newfoundland Pony Society. They mounted a campaign to save the breed for future generations to enjoy. This is their story as told in this historic video.
The Barnes Family of Manuals are the people that set up a small backyard breeding operation in those early days called Vinland Farm. Some of their ponies were Vinland's Rusty, Vinland's  Beauty and Vinland's Star of the Sea. All of these animals appear in the movie especially Rusty and Beauty. She is the mare that wouldn't nurse her little foal. Watch and enjoy this wonderful story.

Saving The Newfoundland Pony Part II
The video below is edicated to the memory of Debbie Bray for her love of the Newfoundland Pony and her work toward the survival of the breed. I think you will all enjoy this video and appreciate what it means for the Newfoundland Pony to have this wonderful and very special song.
